Baba Shiv
Baba Shiv - Lead Professor SEA

Baba Shiv is the Sanwa Bank, Ltd., Professor of Marketing, Co-Director of the Strategic Marketing Management Executive Program and Director of the Innovative Technology Leader Executive Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He has done extensive work on the emotional brain, documenting its powerful role in shaping decisions and experiences. His work includes the application of neuroeconomics to the study and practice of innovation and entrepreneurial leadership in companies, from Silicon Valley startups to Fortune 500 companies and countries including India, Mexico, Malaysia and New Zealand. His work has been featured in a variety of media outlets including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, CNN, Economic Times, Fox Business, Financial Times, The New York Times or Wall Street Journal. Baba Shiv teaches courses at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford, including “Designing Solutions by Leveraging the Frinky Science of the Mind,” and “Organizational Psychology of Design Thinking.” He frequently hosts executives from around the world in executive education programs at Stanford on strategy, entrepreneurial leadership, decision-making, and customer-focused innovation.

Andreas Spechtler
Andreas Spechtler - Founder of the SEA

Andreas has more than 25 years experience in global technology and licensing business, digital entertainment, international marketing, sales and operations in Europe, US, Russia, Middle East and Africa. Andreas worked for American, German and Japanese companies and looks back to many years of startup and incubation experience inside and outside of corporations. Andreas served as executive in global technology companies such as Sony, Nemetschek, Real Networks and Dolby. The last years Andreas was President of Dolby Laboratories International based London and Amsterdam. With the new year 2017 Andreas left the corporate world and is now fully dedicated to help startups to grow and startup executives to become world class performers.

Pascal Levensohn
Pascal Levensohn - Professor Corporate Governance

Founder of Levensohn Venture Partners, Managing Director of Dolby Family Ventures, has 24 years venture capital experience and has invested in over 100 startups since 1996. He has 37 years of experience as a professional investor and has been a public and private company director since 1993. He currently serves as a director of startups in three continents, based in San Francisco. Pascal is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a Trustee of the American Academy in Berlin. He is a partner and Senior Strategic Advisor to Silicon Castles.

Dr. Jochen Stich
Jochen Stich

Dr. Jochen Stich is responsible for the newly created department „Innovation & Portfolio Management“ at the Porsche Holding. The Porsche Holding Salzburg is the largest and most successful automotive distributor in Europe. The Salzburg-based company was founded in 1947 and operates today in in 21 countries throughout Europe, as well as in Colombia, Chile, China, Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei At the end of 2017, employs a workforce of more than 29,000 and generated a turnover of 22.4 billion euros and since March 2011 is a 100 % subsidiary of Volkswagen AG. He also served as CEO of Volkswagen Group Services S.A., Brussels, headed the Volkswagen Regional Treasury Center BeNeLux from 2012-2016 and was Group Treasurer at Porsche Holding GmbH, Salzburg from 1999-2012. Before his employment at Porsche Dr. Stich held various management positions in Consultancy, Banking, Chemical & Pharmaceutical Industry.

Eva Wimmers

Eva Wimmers is President Huawei Honor in Europe and Vice President Honor Global, Wimmers oversees sales, operations and marketing in Europe and also global business. She was appointed at Honor in 2016. As part of her role, she will establish the young brand in the European market and drive partnerships across Europe. In her last role before Huawei she was the Chief Procurement Officer Deutsche Telekom group and Member of the T-Systems Supervisory Board. Her proven track record of driving effective change within large and small international businesses and being an expert in building European and global trends, brands and partnerships make her a valuable asset for Startups.

Florian Palzinsky
Florian Palzinsky

Florian Palzinsky is a meditation and yoga teacher who was born and grew up in Austria. After school and extensive travels in America he lived in Buddhist centres across Europe. At the age of 22 he became a Buddhist monk and lived in that religious setting for 12 years in Thailand and Sri Lanka. In 1999 he founded a social organization, which supported prisoners, children and victims after the Tsunami-disaster. Since 2001 he undertook intensive yoga-training in India, Sri Lanka and Europe. After spending more than 15 years in Asia Florian settled down in Austria and teaches fulltime yoga, meditation and spirituality; yet every winter he and his wife escape to warmer regions in Asia.

Andy Zmolek
Andy Zmolek

Andy Zmolek leads technical partnering activities within Google's Android Enterprise program. Andy's partnership focus is informed by real-world deployment experience within leading global technology firms and collaboration with hundreds of technology partners. His career journey includes both small startups (Divide, which was acquired by Google in 2014, and NEON, which was acquired by Sybase in 2001, now part of SAP) and large, well-known firms like Avaya, Raytheon and Google. He has been involved with Internet and Web standards at the IETF and W3C, has received 11 patents on security, presence and availability technologies.

Catherine Ogilvie
Catherine Ogilvie

Catherine Ogilvie has been over 30 years in global marketing and communications. She worked with blue chip businesses around the world and lived both in Europa and US. Her roles have included senior international management positions with Harrods, Motorola, Napster, Edelman, Almond Board of California and Dolby. Most recently she has held leadership positions within higher education at the University of Leicester. Her experience in building and mentoring teams, developing corporate/brand narrative and effective marketing strategy in a range of industry sectors from start-ups to multi nationals provides invaluable support to business leaders and entrepreneurs alike. Currently a member of Authentic Vision’s European Advisory Board and she works with C-suite executives on crisis, marketing and communications strategy.

William Alexander
William Alexander - Professor for Strategic Leadership

William Alexander leads the global Spencer Stuart's Technology, Media & Telecommunications Practice and is a member of the Board and CEO practices. He specializes in the appointments of senior executives and non-executive directors within the converging arenas of technology, communications and media. William leads searches for both listed and private equity-held corporate clients and works on many of the critical leadership transitions. Before joining Spencer Stuart, William helped establish and led MetaPack, a private equity-backed software company, from startup to sustainable profitability. Prior to this, he was working in management functions at IBM, Broadsystem and Bain & Company. William studied politics, philosophy and economics at Oriel College, Oxford, and has an M.B.A. from INSEAD.

Hugo Rohner, lic. oec. HSG et CEMS Master, is the CEO of the SKIDATA group. SKIDATA develops, sells and maintains with over 1600 employees in 26 countries access and revenue management solutions for parking spaces, ski resorts, sport arenas and attraction parks in over 100 countries. Under Hugo Rohner’s leadership, SKIDATA has shown tremendous growth and doubled its turnover within 6 years to 320 MEUR. Hugo Rohner holds a Master degree from the University of St. Gallen in Finance and Accounting and has started his career with McKinsey & Co. Since 2003 he has held various top management positions in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the USA.

Petra Meyer
Petra Meyer - Professor for Strategic Team Development

Professor Dr. Petra Meyer is a Senior Lecturer at the Salzburg University for Applied Sciences for emotional intelligence, culture and team development. She gained experience over many years working with corporations like IKEA, Barracuda or Bachmann Electronic. Petra acts as training facilitator and coach to drive organizations to the next level. She is also a SixSeconds Network Leader. Petra earnt her master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, and her Ph.D. in Management and Marketing, University of Wollongong, Australia.

Walter Haas
Walter Haas

Walter Haas is Managing Director of the ITG Innovation and Technology Transfer Agency of the Austrian Federal Province of Salzburg (Land Salzburg). ITG coordinates and implements technology- and innovation-related policies of the provincial government especially through SME support, Cluster Networks and knowledge/ technology transfer into SMEs. Walter Haas has more than seventeen years of experience in regional and business location development, coaching companies, institutions and regions in their implementation of innovative projects and research. He coaches regions and helps SMEs to implement new services and business models. Providing knowledge for Entrepreneurs and new businesses through the coaching initiative Startup Salzburg, he is focused on developing a profound regional Startup-Ecosystem. Between 2001 and 2007 he was regional manager for the European Region Salzburg- Berchtesgadener Land-Traunstein with the aim of supporting the cross border co-operation between Bavaria and Salzburg.

Gerhard Blechinger

Prof. Dr. Gerhard Blechinger is Rector of the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences since 2015. Before that he was Head of the Degree Programme MultiMediaArt at the same university. He also served as Vice-Rector for Research and Development and Head of the Institute for Design and Technology at the Zurich University of the Arts. Gerhard Blechinger was Vice-President of the consortium of German Universities for the foundation of the Korean German Institute of Technology Seoul. Before, he was Vice-Director of the Media Museum and Head of the Medialab at Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie Karlsruhe.

Ms. Chin is CEO and founder of Advisors LLC, an entrepreneur, venture strategist, and cultural ambassador of the arts and sciences. She is an advisor, board member to founding startup teams, opportunity scout for VCs, investors, and LP partners, and a supporter of global entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems. She is also an advisor to Women in Blockchain International, a global strategic thought leader, a sought-after speaker, and a NASA Datanaut, an open data innovation program to promote data science, coding, and gender diversity operating within the NASA CIO office. She was named in the Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the “Top 50 Most Daring Entrepreneurs in 2018“.

Maciej Kraus, Ph.D, is currently partner at Movens Capital who is a capital transaction advisory boutique including M&A support. Until end 2017 he was running the Sales Strategy and Pricing Practice at PWC and is a highly experienced business leader with 100+ projects in B2B and B2C in more than 40 countries globally. He started his career at McKinsey, founded his own consulting company that he sold to PWC. He is also a lecturer at the London Business School, guest lecturer at leading international business schools like Stanford GSB or Kellog Kellogg School of Management and and active shareholder in 6 different startups in the area of IT services, biotech, HoReCa, packaging, education and retailing.

Robert Ashcroft
Robert Ashcroft

Robert Ashcroft has been Chief Executive of PRS for Music, the UK’s leading music copyright collecting society since 2010. Representing more than 130,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers, PRS for Music licenses organisations to play, perform or make available copyrighted music and distributes the resulting royalties to its members. Prior to joining the company, Robert worked for a number of international companies in London, Paris and New York, including eight years on the management boards of Sony Electronics in the Unites States and Sony Europe. While in the US, he launched their e-commerce business, SonyStyle.com, and ran the iconic Walkman business, before launching a number of pan-European Internet services, including the world’s first subscription music service to stream over both mobile and fixed-line networks in 2004. He is also a co-founder and chair of music neuro-biology company, X-System Ltd.

Chris Deering
Chris Deering

Chris Deering is best known for his longterm role as CEO of PlayStation Europe from launch in 1995 through its first decade, during which he also headed Sony's Electronics Division in Europe as CEO for 2 years before moving into new tech/entertainment ventures, Chris has over 30 years experience in managing International film, TV, games and consumer brand businesses. He also worked with McKinsey after receiving a MBA from Harvard Business School. Chris received a Bafta Fellowship for his contributions to the Computer Gaming Industry in 20013.

Lukas Crepaz
Lukas Crepaz

Lukas Crepaz is the Commercial Director of the Salzburg Festival, a global leading festival of music and drama established in 1920 located in the heart of Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart. Before that he was the managing director of the Kultur Ruhr GmbH in Germany responsible for four festival and events: Ruhrtriennale – Festival der Künste, Urbane Künste Ruhr, ChorWerk Ruhr und Tanzlandschaft Ruhr. Mr. Crepaz also was commercially responsible for the RUHR2010, Kulturhauptstadt Europas. He started his career in Austria at the Easter Festival in Tirol. He is also interested in new technologies and gained experience in successfully running culture businesses in Europe.

James Perkins
James Perkins

James Perkins is the Associate Director of Executive Education Programs at the Stanford Graduate School of Business in California. Prior to this role, he led Alumni Clubs and Global Outreach for Columbia Business School in New York. He started his career in non-academic fields, working in strategic positions at HBO, Pepsi Cola, and MGM Motion Pictures. He holds a Bachelor of Science in the field of Business Administration from the University of San Diego. Mr Perkins has supported Silicon Castles and Prof. Baba Shiv to design the SEA program.

Seda Röder
Seda Röder

Seda Röder aka “the piano hacker” is an adventurous musician devoted to spreading creativity in society and organizations. In addition to her artistic work, she is a sought-after speaker, consultant and the founder of the Sonophilia Network, an international think-tank of executives, entrepreneurs and influencers from arts and technology. Seda performs internationally and composes music for different media. Before relocating to Salzburg in 2012, she taught music, history & performance at the Harvard University and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)

Michael Reinartz
Michael Reinartz

Michael Reinartz is Director Innovation at Vodafone Deutschland responsible for the overall innovation management, focusing on the development of a holistic, cross-functional innovation strategy and roadmap. His objective is to recognize new trends on the telecom sector at an early stage. Additionally he also serves as Director Consumer Services for the Vodafone Group, preparing the implementation of a strong global products and services portfolio and position Vodafone as the innovation leading Telco. Before joining Vodafone, Michael spent 12 years in the telecom industry at Telecom Austria Group and proved his skills in different challenging roles from project management to Group Director for Devices. Michael Reinartz is an alumni of the University of Applied Science Salzburg and took part in executive management programs at INSEAD and MIT.

Christian Dreyer
Christian Dreyer

Entrepreneur, Investor, and former CEO. After working as a consultant for McKinsey, he acquired Hansen Sicherheitstechnik, a specialist mining equipment manufacturer in Germany, which he grew internationally over 18 years (Eastern Europe, Russia, China, South Africa) and IPOed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in 2006. Mr. Dreyer served also as CEO of SkiData AG. Since 2005 he has been actively investing in engineering, life science and media companies such as MS Industrie AG, Beno, logistics software company BNS, Novogenia, Europe’s biggest genetic analysis lab and a digital media publishing house “Vox Populi”.

Mahesh Sundaram

Chief Commercial Officer at Authentic Vision. Mahesh has served as a sales and marketing executive responsible in the mobility and consumer electronics market for over 20 years. Prior to joining the Authentic Vision, he was Vice President Worldwide Sales and Customer Support at Immersion Inc. and Regional Vice President, Asia Pacific at Dolby Labs, where he developed business strategies, as well as sales, marketing and customer support functions. Mahesh also served in business management and marketing roles at Dolby Labs and Audistry, Australia. Before that he worked at Intel bringing new products and technologies to market in the Asia Pacific region.

Matthias Röder
Matthias Röder

Dr. Matthias Röder is the Managing Director of the Karajan Institute and as such responsible for the overall strategy and worldwide business development of the KARAJAN® brand and its associated products. Röder joined the Karajan Institute in 2011 from Harvard University, where he was a member of the music faculty and received a PhD in musicology in 2010. Prior to Harvard University, Matthias studied music at the renowned Mozarteum University in Salzburg. This year Dr. Röder hosted the first Karajan Music Technology Conference which was very successful and gained global reach in the classial music industry.

David Kinsella

Before that Maximilian was marketing manager and gained media experience working for marketing and news agencies in Austria and Switzerland. Balthasar Schramm
Balthasar Schramm

Dr. Balthasar Schramm is a serial entrepreneur and well known business angel. For decades he successfully acts in the field of strategic business development. As lawyer he started his career at Bertelsmann and then founded his own law firm and became known as a strategic IPO adviser for the Frankfurt New Market. He then served as President of Sony Music Entertainment GSA and later founded the Nawaro BioEnergie AG, Europe‘s market leader for industrial bio gas production. Today he supports entrepreneurs and startups in Europe with an focus on business development and financing. Managing Director of Holo Media, prior to running his own company Tarif was leading the VR technologies and commercial strategies for Nokia Tech. Tarif Tarif Sayed is a Digital Media Executive with extensive expertise on content value chain ecosystem technology enablement, leveraging a “Content, Creativity & Technology” philosophy. Before Nokia Tarif was at Dolby leading next generation live audio experiences market roll-out and as Director Middle East & Africa has successfully built up this region. Earlier, Tarif held the position of Managing Director of “The Frame”, a TV and film production and consultancy firm out of Dubai. Tarif is speaker and lecturer focusing on next generation immersive experience such VR/AR.

Thomas Grundnigg
Thomas Grundnigg

Prof. DI. Thomas Grundnigg is a Professor at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, where he is engaged as Head of the "Management & Producing" Department at the MultiMediaArt Degree Programme. He is Head of the TRACE-Lab/Salzburg. His research focuses on work, space and rhetoric. Grundnigg is a cofounder of the "Salzburg-Sarajevo Academy" and a laureate of the "Erhard Busek Honorary Prize for Intercultural Exchange" for his activities in South Eastern Europe.

Philipp Engelhardt
Philipp Engelhardt

Philipp Engelhardt is a management consultant helping tech start-ups scale sustainably. He is also a researcher at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, a key note speaker and lecturer on Growth Performance Management, and the inventor of the Growth Management Canvas. Philipp served as Groupon's CFO Central Europe as well as Head of Controlling EMEA during Groupon’s hyper growth phase. Among many challenges he helped Groupon grow rapidly and managed Groupon’s IPO to the NASDAQ for Europe from a financial perspective. Philipp started his career as a strategy consultant at Stern Stewart & Company.

David Kinsella
David Kinsella

With over 17 years of experience as a legal practitioner both in private practice and in-house in technology, media and entertainment, David has worked for Taylor Wessing, Siemens, Fujitsu, Sony and most recently held the position of Senior Director, IP Transactions & Legal Affairs at Dolby in London. He is qualified as a lawyer in multiple jurisdictions (England & Wales; Ireland; and New York and California, USA) in addition to his registration as a European lawyer with the Munich Bar Association, Germany. David also holds an MBA and acts as General Counsel for Silicon Castles and affiliated companies and retains his own legal practice for independent legal consultancy.
