Jeff Burton, co-founder of Electronic Arts and serial American startup entrepreneur who is living six months per year in Europe has a passion for European innovation and startups. Jeff sees huge opportunities for European tech startups to be the next wave for global innovation and growth with new technologies if they learn how to strategically go-to-market, define clear goals and gain confidence to conquer the world.
He will talk about his amazing tech career since the early 80s at Atari and Electronic Arts, his learnings, major high and low lights as a startup entrepreneur and will then explain the unique base European founders have today to accelerate their businesses worldwide. He is engaging with European business over four decades and has built up a unique experience and great friendship with Europe.
Jeff understands Europa and is constantly looking for European Diamonds which have a unique business idea, developed a cutting-edge technology and work as a great international team. Jeff is board member of several European startups, a co-founder of HolodeckVR in Munich, and is a major advisor to BitDegree and other companies currently engaged with new technologies. Also, he is a Partner/Associate at the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies. Furthermore he served as Executive Director at Skydeck Berkeley, the University’s only cross-discipline startup accelerator. In addition to being Head of Global Programs for Startup Division by Civittá in Vilnius, Lithuania, he recently became a member of the Board of Advisors for Startup Europe under the European Commission in Brussels.
Jeff Burton obtained his undergraduate education and MBA at Stanford University and has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for the past 50 years.
